The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has received the go-ahead
from the Ministry of Education to take out a loan for over $4-million.
The cash is being used for construction work under the first phase of
the ‘Good places to learn initiative’.
Chief Financial Officer Dean Carrie says they haven’t decided what
the money will be used for.
Some of the funds will be used to pay off roofing projects which were
completed last summer.
The School Board plans to pay the loan over a 20-year period.
