All the signs point to a turn around for the forest industry in northwestern Ontario.
Stephen Boon is a national representitive with Unifor and says the fact they have inked new long term deals with mills in Dryden and Kenora is a sign of confidence in the forest sector.
Boon says they’v come around a complete 180 degrees since 2007-2008.
Boon adds the Ear Falls Sawmill will be adding a second shift this summer and the Atikokan planer mill resumed production last month.
