The Ontario Forest Industries Association is getting some support in it’s battle against the David Suzuki Foundation and Ontario Nature.
In a recent column, they imply the forest industry is telling environmentalists to keep their mouths shut and their opions to themselves.
Dave Canfield is President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and says the debate has nothing to do with limiting the right of free speech.
Canfiled claims they are fabricating their campaigns that are impacting local communities.
Canfield says the battle isn’t just between Resolute Forest Products and Greenpeace; it affects all forest companies.
