Connor Kalthoff Top Defenceman In SIJHL

Connor Kalthoff of the Thief River Falls Norskies has been named Top Defenceman in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.

The 19-year-old from, Sartell, Minnesota beat out Red Lake’s Carson Lux and Logan Mihalcin of the Thunder Bay North Stars.

Kalthoff played at a point-per-game pace for the Norskies during the 2019-2020 campaign with 48 in as many outings.

His 13 goals and 35 assists lead all SIJHL blueliners and also tied him for 11th overall in league offensive production.

Of his 13 markers, six came on the power play, while three more were game-winners.

Kalthoff becomes the first Norskies player to win the award.
