Conservatives Say Lynn Beyak Is Out Of Aboriginal Committee

The Federal Conservatives have confirmed that Senator Lynn Beyak has been removed from the Senate Committee that oversees aboriginal issues.

In a statement, Interim Leader Rona Ambrose stated the views of Beyak don’t reflect the Conservative Party’s position on residential schools.

The Senator has been under fire since early March following controversial comments made on residential schools.

There are still several calls for the removal of Beyak from the Upper Chamber entirely.
