Construction of New School Coming Along Nicely

Construction of the new Elementary School in Dryden is right on schedule.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says the new building is expected to welcome some 460-students next September.
Trustees and Media were given a tour of the nearly 49,000 square foot facility Tuesday.
The school is almost completely enclosed, the windows are going in and roofing work continues.
The school is energy efficient, very colourful and will feature a polished concrete floor in most of the building.
It will also include SmartBoard technology, amplified sound systems and plenty of lighting.
The building features numerous windows, 2-computer labs, a double gym and a spacious and bright library.
It also features 3-specialized rooms for art, drama and music.
