Construction Underway On Union Gas Pipeline

Construction is now underway on the second phase of the Union Gas pipeline that will soon deliver natural gas to Red Lake, Balmertown, Cochenour and Chukuni River.
Union Gas Spokesperson Andrea Stass says the project is a long time coming.
Stass says the installation of gas services will begin late this Summer and service to homes and businesses will begin in the Fall.
Stass says the project will also boost the local economy.
She says the company will be using local material and sub-contractors.
Community open houses on the project will be held at the Cochenour Arena on June 27th and 28th as well as July 11th and 12th.
