CUPE Supporting Strike Action

School board employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees are supporting strike action to back their contract demands with the province.
CUPE says 93% were in support following votes held across the province over the past month.
Talks between the union and government have been ongoing since last fall, but CUPE says they’ve been unable to reach agreement on items to be bargained provincially and locally.
