A psychiatrist has told a review panel that the man found not criminally responsible for a bus crash near Upsala should be sent home.
Dr. Robert Sheppard says 23-year-old Shaun Davis should be sent to a hospital in his home province of Nova Scotia.
A judge decided in February that Davis was suffering from a mental condition caused by medication used to treat attention deficit disorder.
Since the December 2000 bus crash, Davis has either been in jail or a psychiatric hospital in Thunder Bay.
However, Sheppard says Davis wants to go home and his family wants him home as well.
The review panel is expected to make a decision soon.
