Fire officials say a fire which claimed the lives of a 9-year-old boy and his grandmother at the Sandy Lake First Nation
was accidental.
The fire swept through their home last Saturday at about 1 a-m.
Police say 58-year-old Bessie Ballantyne first rescued her mother from the house, but died when she went back in to save the boy.
She and Eli Ballantyne were found dead inside the residence once the fire was contained.
Meantime, Wasaya Air has made a commitment to send donations to the family left homeless by the fire.
