Domtar Provides 10k To DREAM Committee

Domtar is giving an early Christmas gift for the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee.

The Committee is on the receiving end of $10 000 from Domtar to support efforts in repairing and upgrading the Dryden Memorial Arena.

Coordinator for Public Affairs at Domtar Dianne Loewen says the Dryden Arena is a hub for the community that provides great activities for the entire year.

Loewen also says it is important to support the communities where they operate.

DREAM Committee Co-Chair Marnie Oliphant says they are excited about the donation and they say the money will help go towards new flooring around Arena 1, in the lobby and in the hallways.

Oliphant also says they are currently around $170 000 towards their overall goal of $500 000.

The other Co-Chair of the Committee, Janice Radburn, mentions the overall goal is to expand the extra dressing rooms off to the side.

They also remind residents that they can make a donation to the DREAM Committee at any time at the City of Dryden office.
