Ice Dogs Outlast Miners For Important Win

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have finally solved the Red Lake Miners.

The Ice Dogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on for a 6-3 win over the visiting Miners Wednesday night in a penalty filled game.

The win was the first for the suddenly surging Ice Dogs this year against Red Lake.

Playing in only his third game following a lengthy suspension, Malcolm Huemmert powered the Dryden GM offence with a hat-trick.

Jacob Siebenga, Cameron Coutre and Rayman Bassi added singles.

Stratton Pickett scored two in response for Red Lake, while Matt Krawiec also found the back of the net.

Newly acquired Jacob Anthony earned his second straight win, while Vince Benedetto suffered the loss.
