Donations Now Accepted For Dryden Police Coat Drive

The Dryden Police ‘Winter Coat Drive’ is underway.

The annual campaign opened Friday night with a number of donations at the Dryden GM Ice Dogs game.

Community Services Officer Denise Szachury says they are accepting gently used coats, mitts, boots, snow pants, scarves and new hats.

She says all items will be washed, cleaned and sorted and they will be holding a “Winter Warm-up Day”, where anyone in the community who needs the clothing can attend.

That will be held in November.

The next collection event is set for October 19th, with more details to follow.

Items can also be dropped off during business hours at the Dryden Police Detachment.
