The Progressive Conservatives say they want to improve transportation options in the north.
Leader Doug Ford says if elected next month, he will eliminate the fuel tax for any flights into or from northern communities.
He says that for many parts of this region, flying is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.
Ford notes his plan will make it cheaper to travel and make it more affordable to ship goods.
Ford says their platform also includes a promise to restore the Northlander rail service and dedicate all hunting and fishing licence revenue to conservation programs.
