The first big fundraiser for the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee (DREAM) has been announced.
The group is raising money to upgrade the Memorial Arena.
Tickets are now on sale for the ‘Hometown Proud’ Fundraising Dinner on July 26th at the Agricultural Centre.
Janice Radburn and Marnie Oliphant were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to promote the event.
They announced the guest speakers will be American Hockey League Assistant Coach Bruce Ramsay as well as former NHL’ers Sean and Chris Pronger.
Oliphant says all three grew up in Dryden and used the Arena to launch their careers. T
here will some great jersey auctions including a signed Connor McDavid jersey and a Team Canada autographed jersey donated by Hockey Canada.
Tickets are $100 each and businesses are also encouraged to purchase a table.
They are available at the Arena Office during the weekdays.
