Drug Bust In Fort Hope

Two people face charges following a drug bust in Fort Hope First Nation. The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service executed two search warrants Sunday and officers seized a total of $7,200 worth of Oxycodone and marihuana. Officers also located more than $3,200 in cash. Police say a 35-year-old man is in custody facing eight charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm. A 35-year-old woman faces a total of three charges.
