Still some work to do on the 2016 City of Dryden budget.
A handful of outstanding issues still need to be ironed out, including a meeting in early April to discuss Domtar property tax repayment.
That meeting could impact the final budget.
Council is now expected to see the draft budget on April 11th, with a recommendation to pass the fiscal document at the April 18th regular meeting.
Roger Valley has asked staff to come back with a report of cost of living rates across the country, and how a cost of living tax increase would impact finances.
Other unresolved issues include the determination of some capital grants, some invoices relating to 2015 operations that haven’t been received, additional capital that some departments have asked to be carried over and unspent Federal Gas Tax funding.
The 2015 Actuals show a surplus of nearly $2.2-million.
