The latest Dryden By-pass design has been unveiled and it would now just be a 2 lane project running from Airport Road west to Meadows Road.
Consultants hired by the Province met with Council last night and Mayor Anne Krassilowsky was surprised and upset to hear about the change in plans.
Officials say the road could be expanded to 4 lanes in the future pending on traffic flow.
Krassilowsky says Council will continue to press Queen’s Park to expand the existing Highway 17 route through the City.
A public information session is being held at the Rec Complex from 4 until 8 o’clock tonight.
