The City of Dryden believes its making headway on its $23-million debt, but stresses more work needs to be done.
That’s why Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard says they are looking at all areas to find cost savings.
Remillard says staff and Council wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t look at all departments.
Remillard calls the situation right now sustainable, noting they are still planning $1.5-million in capital work this year.
He notes at the end of the day the taxpayer is their shareholder and they have to be giving them as much as they can for their tax dollar.
