The City of Dryden will celebrate our rich French culture Monday.
This is Franco-Ontarian Flag Day, with a 10:00am flag raising ceremony at City Hall.
Claudine Savage is the Head Administrator of the Ecole catholique de l’Enfant-Jesus school in Dryden and she says they will also be hosting at special event at Dryden High School at 9:15am.
For the first time the flag will be raised at the school.
Savage says the day is meant to promote and celebrate our French language, culture and history.
She notes it’s important for the entire community be part of the diversity that Dryden is known for.
Other highlights today include games and activities at the Centre.
