Dryden Council Recognizes Firefighters

Four long serving members of the Dryden Fire Service have been recognized by City Council.
Captain Dan Bryck, Deputy Fire Chief Cam McMillan, Captain John Kitt and Fire Chief Ken Kurz all received long service honours on Monday evening.
Councilor Shayne MacKinnon says the four lay down their lives on a daily basis to help protect the public.
MacKinnon says their service amounts to a lifetime of protecting local residents.
The major recognition was reserved for Captain John Kitt who has spend 45-years with the Dryden Fire Service.
He’s also a retired member of the Domtar Mill Fire team.
Bryck and McMillan received 25-year Long Service Medals.
Kurz received a 35-year Long Service Bar.
