General Surgeon Dr. George Rabbat says a new CT Scan Unit is a critical part of daily operations at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
A massive fundraising campaign is underway and Rabbat says the technology saves lives.
He says the machine is important in planning surgery and avoiding unnecessary surgeries.
Dr. Rabbat adds the machine is also pivotal in efforts to detect cancer.
Rabbat says a “CT Scan is part of a physical exam and is the eye inside”.
