The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have already put their Bill Salonen Cup loss behind them.
Head Coach Kurt Walsten says his message to the players following Saturday’s Game 6 loss was simple; keep your heads up and be proud of who you are and what you did.
Walsten notes they will take a couple of days off and start preparing for the Dudley Hewitt Cup.
The Ice Dogs earned a ticket to the Central Ontario championship as Fort Frances is the host team this year.
Walsten says they have nothing to be ashamed off noting his team was playing with 18-rookies, while the Lakers boasted a veteran line-up, with several returning players from last years championship team.
The Dudley Hewitt Cup starts next Tuesday with the Ice Dogs playing the Soo Thunderbirds at 2:00.
