Dryden Inching Closer To Major Review Of Services

The City of Dryden is close to starting a comprehensive review of all services and operations in order to find savings.
Council has appointed Mayor Craig Nuttall and Councilors Shayne MacKinnon and Sid Wintle to a project team that will play an active role in the review.
Nuttall says the review must start right away and stresses his goal is finding ways to ensure a 0% tax increase next year.
Nuttall notes they will consult with similar sized municipalities to see what they are doing.
A request for proposals for firms interested in conducting the review closes this week.
He says the City will also be working closely with the Police Services Board, Dryden Development Corporation and Dryden Library Board during the review.
