Dryden Lands Little Bands Hockey Tournament

Dryden has once again been selected as the host site of the Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament.

Up to 60-teams from across the north are expected to converge on the City for the week long tournament.

The first day of play is set for February 7th and there will be over 200-games played in Dryden and the Eagle Lake Arena.

The tournament will attract over 1,000 youth aged 4 to 16.

Ziggy Beardy made the announcement at the Dryden Memorial Arena on Monday and says he’s excited to return to the community.

He calls the event a great opportunity for the City as well as First Nations youth.

Beardy says they selected Dryden because of the two ice surfaces, accommodations and restaurants.

The tournament will also feature a Girls division this year.
