Dryden Library Out With Final Stats For 2014

The Dryden Public Library is celebrating a busy 2014.
Patrons borrowed over 71,000 items including over 6,000 audiobooks and e-books.
That’s at least 29 items for each of their 2,427 active cardholders.
The local libraries collection now includes more than 33,000 books, audio books, dvd’s and magazines.
Stats contained in the 2014 final report also show resident memberships and late fees have helped the public library to the tune of almost $13,000.
Their budget consisted of over $312,000 from the City and another $16,000 from the Province.
Donations and book sales brought in over $5,000.
Meanwhile, they paid out $245,000 in salaries and benefits, $43,000 for books and other materials, and $16,000 for facilities and utilities.
