A move to increase the length of council terms seems to be getting a positive reaction from municipal leaders.
Dalton McGuinty yesterday announced he wants to extend them to 4
years from the current 3 starting with Councils & school Boards elected this November.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky thinks it is a good idea overall.

Many feel adding the extra year would allow cities & towns to do more long range planning especially involving high ticket projects.
