The City is moving ahead with a review of the Dryden Fire Service.
Acting CAO John Cummings has been instructed to initiate the process through the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshall.
Mayor Craig Nuttall believes the review is timely.
Nuttall notes all departments should be looked at to determine if everything is being done right.
He stresses the fire department is very efficient and people shouldn’t have to worry about any potential liability.
Nuttall says the review is all about safety.
Norm Bush brought forward the motion and says some people have outstanding questions regarding the Fire Service which could be answered in this review.
