Dryden Police On Schedule For Dispatch Services

The Dryden Police Service has received pre-budget approval from Council to upgrade its communication equipment.
Dryden Council has given pre-budget approval for the purchase of new radio equipment at a cost of nearly 46-thousand dollars.
Board Chair Peter Andrusco says, “It’s the same type of equipment that Owen Sound uses, so that would make the transition there without any bumps in the road.”
this will help in their transition to the Owen Sound Police department.
Andrusco says, “If and when we need technical support it’s a phone call and an hour and a half drive away, so when we do have problem it will be dealt with as quickly as possible.”
The radios are compatible with other emergency service equipment in the area.
Andrusco says this is a one-time purchase to facilitate the move and the department is right on schedule for the end of March.
