Dryden Police are now also warning residents about the Canada Revenue Agency scam.
Police received a report from a complainant who fell victim to the scam recently.
Dryden Police say the victim received a phone message that told them to call the CRA immediately as arrest warrants were issued as she owed the government over 5000 dollars.
The caller told the victim to send money in the form of credit cards and the warrants would be removed.
Dryden Police warn the public to check directly with the Canada Revenue Agency if you get a call saying you owe money.
Police also say this is a popular scam that many are falling victim to.
