A 28-year-old Dryden woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer following a weekend incident.
City Police were called to assist in a disturbance at a local business on Saturday and noticed an intoxicated woman sitting on the ground outside.
Officers attempted to arrest the individual but the woman started to hit and kick, striking the officer in the leg.
Police say during the arrest the officer was kicked a number of times while the accused continued to resist.
Police say Nicole Megan Gouliquer is due in court on July 16th.
