A fishing trip on Rainy River has resulted in a hefty fine for an Alberta man.
Archibald Hendrickson of Edmonton has been fined $2,400 for having an over-limit of walleye and packaging fish in such a way that they could not be easily counted.
Conservation officers stopped the man last April, but couldn’t determine the amount of fish he had.
A later inspection revealed four walleye over the legal limit.
Hendrickson has been banned from fishing in Ontario for one year.
