ELA Reaching Out To Local Youth To Guide Future Research

The Experimental Lakes Area, west of Vermilion Bay wants to get local high school students involved in their research.

The ELA is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and want feedback on what they should be researching next and how they should do it.

Pauline Gerrard says they are turning to the next generation to hear their concerns.

Gerrard says students are really smart, they have great ideas and they know what they are worried about.

She notes they are interested in hearing from young people about what impacts humans are having on the environment that they can investigate at the ELA.

The initiative is open to all Canadian high school students.

You are encouraged to a submit a video or essay by February 16th.
