Thunder Bay Police Chief JP Levesque says he’s relieved after hearing breach of trust and obstruction of justice charges against him have been dismissed.
The charges related to the release of confidential information from the RCMP to Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs.
Levesque says it was surreal being on the defence side of the court room.
Levesque says he intends to go back to his job but isn’t sure when that will take place.
Meanwhile, the Police Services Board is meeting Friday morning to discuss the written verdict.
