Electricity Issues With Hampton

The Liberals are creating a new rate plan that charges consumers the real cost of electricity in Ontario.
It is also establishing a new agency to manage the power supply, the Ontario Power Authority.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says this means the private sector will be building all the new electricity generating plants in the Province and that’s bad news for consumers because the Government will demand more taxpayers money.
Energy Minister Dwight Duncan says he new pricing schedule, which hasn’t been set yet, will come into effect next year.
