The Dryden Police Service has launched emergency text service in the community.
The initiative is a partnership with the Owen Sound Police Department.
By registering for the service, you will be able to communicate with a dispatcher in an emergency via text messaging.
The program is aimed at the deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and speech impairment and is used by a number of police agencies in Canada.
