It was a special win for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in Red Lake.
The Ice Dogs scored two shorthanded goals and two powerplay goals in a 5-2 win over the English River Miners Saturday night.
Braeden Allkins had a four point night with a pair of goals and two assists.
Braedyn Aubin had two goals and an assist.
Derek McPhail also found the back of the net.
Jamie Driedger and Dwayne Auger replied for the Miners.
Shots were even at 34 apiece but the Miners went 1/8 on the powerplay.
Once again Dryden GM failed to gain ground on first place Thunder Bay.
The North Stars routed Minnesota 8-3.
Fort Frances upended Thief River Falls 3-2.
