The International Institute for Sustainable Development, which operates the Experimental Lakes Area west of Vermillion Bay is taking questions on Twitter.
You can tweet questions to the scientists about freshwater research and they will respond with a challenging 140 characters or less response.
Media and Communications Officer Sumeep Bath says the social campaign will run for the entire month of July.
Bath says they have about 15-scientists who conduct research on the 58 lakes in the ELA.
He adds there is a lot of great research going on at the ELA and they want to be open to the public.
Their Twitter handle is @IISD_ELA, and people must tweet with the hashtag #ELA140
