Muay Thai Boxing Coming To Dryden

A sport that is quickly growing in popularity is making its way to Dryden.

Dave Zuniga is joining local fighter Sarah Carter to bring Muay Thai Boxing to the community on July 29th.

The Winnipeg based trainer was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday and he says they will be hosting a youth camp in the afternoon.

Zuniga says the seminar is geared towards kids aged 6-15 and he will have trained professionals on hand to help teach youth.

He says they will be teaching the fundamental basics of the sport and all equipment will be provided.

Zuniga stresses this is a great opportunity for kids to try something new this Summer.

Entry is $40 per child and $60 for a family with two kids.

At night, five professional and amateur bouts are scheduled.

Basic Thai boxing encompasses punches, kicks, elbows and knees.

The youth camp and fight night are both being held upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion.
