It’s a poor grade for local high schools.
In the latest report card by the right-wing Fraser Institute, local schools had an average rating of 4.2.
The provincial average is 6.0.
Author Peter Cowley says the worst part is that local schools aren’t showing any improvement in student success.
Cowley says schools need to learn that improvement can take place and should take place.
Dryden High School and Red Lake High School both scored a 5 out of 10, which was 559th in the Province.
Queen Elizabeth was near the bottom of the list with a 2.2 rating.
The Public School Board has long dismissed the report.
