Family Issues Statement On Teens Death

The family of Delaine Copenace has issued a short statement after her body was found Tuesday following a month-long search in the Kenora area. They are thanking the community for their support and prayers and are asking for some privacy to grieve for her. In the meantime, OPP Constable Ronni Grosenick says it’s still too early to determine a cause of death. Grosenick notes they won’t know the cause until they get the results of a post-mortem. No date has been set for that post-mortem in Toronto. Grosenick says the investigation continues under the direction of the OPP Northwest Region Crime Unit and Inspector Randy Heida. Copenace disappeared February 28th and was the subject of both civilian and police searches.
