Enhanced high-speed Internet is coming to the Kenora District.
Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford has announced a $2-million investment that he says will bring fast, reliable Internet to nearly 2,500 homes across the district.
The DSL-fibre technology infrastructure project is being spearheaded by Bell Aliant and is expected to be completed by June 2017.
Rickford says it will deliver average Internet speeds of 15-megabits per second, three times as fast as the national target speed.
