Federal Funding For Mining Industry

A big financial boost for the mining industry in northern Ontario.
Natural Resources and FedNor Minister Greg Rickford says the funding will support innovation, create jobs and diversify the northern economy.
The Kenora MP says $1.25-million will help the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology renovate and expand its facilities.
An additional $681,000 will be used by the City of Sudbury to deliver a mining supply and service program to help mining companies do their work across the north.
