FedNor Support For Kenora Forest Products Stud Mill

The Federal government is investing $3-million to re-open the Kenora Forest Products stud mill.

The money is a 10-year, interest free repayable loan similar to the one given to the auto industry during its struggles a few years ago.

FedNor Minister Greg Rickford says it’s all about innovation and producing new products and he believes the mill will prosper.

He says the program is a relatively new one and it helps big companies plan for their future.

The mill currently has about 20 people working on the expansion of the mill and will have more than 100 people working full-time, once it resumes production.
