Provincial Police in northwestern Ontario are expressing some disappointment with the numbers from their recent ‘Festive Ride’ campaign.
They say that out of the over 1,200 checks that were conducted in the region over the initiative, almost 50 people were charged with impaired driving or refusing to give a breath sample.
Six people were given warnings and had their license’s temporarily suspended after blowing close to the legal limit.
