Final Preparations For Ice Dogs Heading Into Semi-Final

The wait is almost over for Dryden GM Ice Dogs fans.

Their Best-of-7 Semi-Final with Thunder Bay begins Saturday night at home.

Defenceman Kyle Pouncy was a league finalist for MVP and says they are anxious to get going.

Pouncy says it’s been a long two week wait and they can’t wait to go.

He notes they enter the series with a lot of confidence, noting their loss in the Bill Salonen Cup Final last year left a bitter taste in their mouth.

Pouncy and President Mike Sveinson are both hoping for a huge crowd this weekend.

Sveinson notes this years team has done a lot for the community.

Thunder Bay ended the season with three straight wins, while the Ice Dogs, who had clinched second place about two months ago, dropped their final four games of the year.

Game time is 8:30 Saturday and 7:30 Sunday.
