Governor General David Johnston’s Sioux Lookout visit this week had a great focus on education and well-being in the region.
In his visit he talked to educational leaders in the region such as the KPDSB, the Northwest Catholic District School Board, Confederation College and multiple First Nation leaders.
Johnston says it’s important to cherish our teachers.
He says he was inspired to hear some of the stories of educational leaders in the district, noting they are true leaders.
Johnston adds he hopes to see that all children in the future have access to the same quality of education.
