The Fine Arts program at two schools in the Keewatin-Patricia School District has been deemed a success.
The school board has decided to make it a permanent addition to the system.
The fine arts classes were introduced at Pinewood School in Dryden and Evergreen School in Kenora this year as a pilot program.
78 students are enrolled in the program in Dryden in Grades 6,7 and 8 this year and 46 students are enrolled in Kenora.
The school board said last year it would continue the fine arts program as long as the enrolment numbers were sufficient.
