A Restricted Fire Zone remains in place across northwestern Ontario.
A small amount of rain has improved the situation and the hazard is now moderate in the Dryden and Kenora Districts.
It’s a low risk extending into the Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and northern reaches of the Thunder Bay Districts.
However, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry warns fire ratings are expected to rebound quickly.
The region saw ten new fire starts on Wednesday.
