Fire Crews Off to Northeast

The Ministry of Natural Resources has sent out 20-Fire Ranger Crews
from the Northwest Region to help fight multiple blazes in the Northeast.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says they can give up the crews
because the fire hazard remains at moderate in most parts of the Region.
Moffatt notes fuel tanks and other equipment have also been sent to
the Cochrane, Timmins and Parry Sound districts.
Moffatt suggests the fire hazard in the Region could stay at moderate
for some time, since the forecast is calling for more rain.
However, it is at high in Nipigon and area’s north of Sioux Lookout and Red Lake.
